Ways to ID Plants... especially if you live in Texas...

From the OHG Yahoo group:

A couple of sites that will aid in identifying Texas wild flowers.
http://www.lone-star.net/mall/txtrails/wildflowers/flowers.htm -
broken down by color of flower.
http://aggie-horticulture.tamu.edu/wildseed/index.html - a bit more
difficult to use because you need to know what you are looking for.
But, they have pictures, growing information and resources for seeds.

Just my 2 cents.

Most awesome sleeping bag ever

Back in September, a couple of friends and I went to Crater Lake, Or and camped. We grossly underestimated how low the temperatures would be, and spent a sleepless night trying to stay warm in our giant tent. I really wish I had known about the lippi slek bags before that trip being able to warm your self by the fire and then walk into your tent without getting out of your sleeping bag would have been heavenly.

This is a UK company that sells these, if I find a US supplier I will post the link here.

The cost (with shipping to the U.S.) is 103.95 Euros which by todays conversion = $153.91 US Dollars.

While it's mostly super-girly inspiration, it's still inspiration. Come to think of it, I don't personally find the site very inspirational, but one of you might.

Virginia Lighting

Wishing for the good ol' days when moonshine was readily available? Now you can buy it legally, and while the proof is limited to 100, at least you don't run the risk of dying from a sip of this stuff.
